Let's face it. Brands can either sit around and wait for opportunities, or they can make opportunities. 

We advise they choose the latter. 

See, it has never ever been okay to be a one-hit wonder. That's the kind of label people apply with a sad little smile and a pat on the head. 

It's not flattering and it doesn't win the Battle for Time. 

Yet the real leaders out there, aren't the leaders who call themselves leaders. No, they are the brands who ask, "how can we elevate ourselves?" It's the brands that challenge themselves to be the challengers, like Facebook creating its own online Marketplace. It's also the brands who create the doorways that open up to endless other doorways, such as Panasonic's bendable battery. 

These are the players to catch a lesson from.
