Do you know what it means to be a social butterfly?

It's not that person you envied in high school who could talk about anything with anyone.

It's the person who can hang with the hashtags, be in the know on which social media giants owns which app and navigate the all the tiny (or huge) feature updates that you had no idea about.

Oh and this all happens well before her first coffee, we might add.

Big Mac – Bacon or no Bacon? 

  • In a new campaign right in time for the Super Bowl, McDonald’s ponders the age-old question: “is a Big Mac with bacon #NotABigMac or #StillABigMac?

  • This spot is quite simple. It’s a quick, 60-second video of friends eating McDonald’s and debating whether or not adding bacon to a Big Mac changes it. 

  • Hit or Miss: The spot may not be revolutionary or groundbreaking, but its smarts lay in the fact that it’s simple. And more times than not, simple is what does it. This is a social media specialist's favourite kind of campaign. Why? Because it invites huge levels of engagement. Fans are encouraged to share their thoughts and chime in using the different hashtags. With a classic like the Big Mac, it's really a no brainer for fans to get involved. After all, who isn't protective over their favourite cheat day pick?
