Do you know what it means to be a social butterfly?

It's not that person you envied in high school who could talk about anything with anyone.

It's the person who can hang with the hashtags, be in the know on which social media giants owns which app and navigate the all the tiny (or huge) feature updates that you had no idea about.

Oh and this all happens well before her first coffee, we might add. 

Logan Kazman, The Tite Group's own social media specialist, is just that person around here. Every Tuesday, she'll be sharing "Learning with Logan" where you'll get the inside scoop on the top social media news of the week.

Instagram Stories Now Feature Ads 

  • Brands can now run Instagram Story Ads. These pieces of content can either be uploaded as a photo or a video and will appear between users' stories. One such brand that had a powerful launch was hospitality service, Airbnb.

  •  Airbnb ran a 15-second video ad in Stories to help build awareness around its new product launch – experiences on Airbnb. 

 

 

  • Hit or Miss: What’s better than up to 15-seconds of complete, full-screen attention? This is without a doubt an incredible marketing initiative. Ads in Stories lets businesses use targeting and reach functionality to make ads personally relevant to Instagram users all the while creating for a seamless integration. Honest Moments with the Honest Company 

  • Jessica Alba’s Honest Company has launched its first brand campaign called “Honest Moments.” This campaign is geared towards new parents who share their real birth stories. It’s quite literally, an honest way for the company to launch their consumer-goods.

  • The hero spot is a video called “The Big One” that encapsulates the brand’s overall message of being honest, genuine, and "here for you." 

  • The other campaign spots promote particular lines of products and get into a more playful space that covers everything from picking out an outfit to getting a toddler to eat vegetables.  

  • Hit or Miss: What's so endearing about this campaign is its transparency. The brand is really tapping into the heartstrings of their fan base by putting their real and raw life moments at the forefront. The Honest Company welcomes all ideas and all users with their evergreen hashtag effort #HonestMoments. Just like Ron Tite, CEO of The Tite Group always says – it’s important to be open, honest, and transparent. This is exactly what The Honest Company is doing! Talk about authenticity.
